How to Make Delicious Crab Rangoon
If you’re a fan of Chinese cuisine, you’ve probably come across the delectable appetizer known as crab rangoon. These crispy, creamy parcels of goodness are a popular choice on many Asian restaurant menus. But did you know that you can easily make them at home too? Impress your family and friends with your culinary skills by following this simple crab rangoon recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of wonton wrappers
- 1 cup of crab meat, flaked
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, cream cheese, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with water and fold it in half to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the crab rangoon in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the crab rangoon from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
Tips:
To prevent the filling from leaking out during frying, make sure the edges of the wonton wrappers are sealed well. You can also create different shapes, like flower or purse shapes, for a creative presentation.
Pairing:
Crab rangoon pairs well with sweet and sour sauce, plum sauce, or even a simple sweet chili sauce for dipping.
